On Saturday on 16th May, the Panthers joined other athletes from around the region to contest the Eastern Championships at a windy Chelmsford. The facilities provided by the Sports Centre were magnificent and even included an indoor track for the wheelchair Slalom races and for the High Jump and Height Bean Bag competitions.

The Panthers competed well and often showed that they have been well coached both in performance and discipline. The parents and helpers were magnificent too playing their part in an altogether memorable day.

Many people commented on how well organised the meeting was and how friendly yet professional the judges were.

Panthers came away festooned with medals and everyone tired but thrilled that Orwell Panthers had put on another great performance.

Well done everyone. I for one can't wait for the Panther Challenge in July to get excited again.
