ANDREW GAINS KARATE BLACK BELT

    When the Evening Star featured Club Captain Andrew Brooks as "A Belter", it became clear what an excellent decision the members made when electing Andrew as their captain for 2006/7.

In gaining this fantastic award, Andrew has shown tremendous dedication over a period of 11 years. His coach, Sean Hollobone says, "He is easy to teach and takes everything in that you tell him". Something his Panther coaches can echo loud and clear. Andrew never seems to give up and is so keen to learn new skills. Only last Wednesday 18th April 2007, Andrew was gaining new skills in discus throwing and astounding our guest coach, Tony Fuller, who recognised Andrew's determination and potential.
