On a bright but frosty morning, nine intrepid Panthers set off to cover the 3.6 kilometres of forest tracks adjacent to RAF Woodbridge. The field was bigger than the two previous fixtures but the group set off proudly together with their supporting buddies, Dean, Tom, Ben and Danny. Once again it was Sean who headed the team at the finish in 14 minutes 16 seconds and he is showing some excellent promise over these distances. There was little to choose between Ryan and Stephen with the former just hanging on despite Stephen's sprint finish. Olly continues to show his all round ability and managed to break the 20 minute barrier. Kieron ran well and again finished strongly, just behind Olly. Running Cross Country for the first time, Luke found the course tiring but completed the race brilliantly and should take great heart from his achievement. Matt had another excellent run over the treacherous icy ground and it was fantastic to see all seven boys home, fit and well.
For the first time Latisha had another girl to run with and she and Emma did amazingly well over a long course in difficult conditions.
All the Panthers should be proud of their achievements indeed as proud as their loyal band of supporters were proud of them. All the team and followers are grateful to the host club for putting on the race and especially for putting on the wonderful refreshments after the race.
